WIS 23/GALENA STREET:

• Asphalt paving schedule: lower layer on Thu 9/29 & Fri 9/30; surface layer on Sat 10/1 & Mon 10/3.
• Next week: lawn restoration, pavement marking, signs, guardrail, core & install manhole castings.
• If all goes well, the plan is to open the road to traffic at the end of the day Friday, October 7^th
• Then the remaining work will be completed with the west side parking lane closed and flagging operations may be required at times.
• October/November: finish block walls and concrete steps.
• Next Spring (likely April/May): finish staining block walls, install railing on walls and concrete steps, and finish restoration.

WIS 23/81 INTERSECTION PAVING:

• Thursday, September 29^th: the crew is scheduled to mill matchline joints, likely in the afternoon.
• Friday, September 30^th: the crew is scheduled to pave the entire intersection, likely in the morning.
• This work will be completed under flagging operations on both days – EXPECT DELAYS!!
  • Crews are planning to keep the intersection open (no flagging) during the morning and afternoon school traffic rush hours if possible.
