Kid Wind Event at the Johnson Public Library

Want to learn what the 49 wind turbines around Darlington do and how they work? If you are a 6th thru 12th-grade student, sign up for one of the 90-minute, hands-on learning experiences that will be held in the Johnson Public Library on Sept. 8, 15 & 22 Oct. 6, all starting at 5:30 pm. Participants will be designing, building, and testing their own scale model wind turbine against each other, in a fun competition, to see which one produces the most electrical energy in a real KidWind wind tunnel! Because of the necessary materials and equipment that will be provided by KidWind, class size is limited to 10 participants per class. Call 608-776-4171.
