Thanks to the United States Geological Survey, the Darlington Police Department is able to obtain real-time data surrounding current Pecatonica River conditions in the city.  This is a valuable resource each year when the river swells beyond its banks and threatens residents and businesses.  Officers use the data to aid them in making decisions about preparation and response to flood concerns.
