With the Fall season upon us, the City of Darlington has begun leaf pick-up.

The Streets Department ask that you please follow these guidelines regarding leaf pick-up:

* Leaves will be picked-up as deemed necessary – not every day

* leaves may be bagged and placed on the grass curb -or- raked into the street curb

* if raked into the street curb, please have the leaves in a tight wind-row along the cement curb – DO NOT blow out into the street

* if you have twigs and other perennial/lawn rubbish, please pile those in a separate pile on the grass curb – DO NOT throw in with the leaves

* Brush & Lawn Waste pick-up is the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  [with the 2nd Tuesday in November being Veterans Day, the Streets Dept. will not be working in order to observe the holiday.  Therefore, brush pick-up will occur on Wednesday, November 12th or Thursday, November 13th]
