Spring Clean-Up Collection Days

As families prepare for the 2025 Community Wide Garage Sale and Spring Clean-Up days, the City of Darlington would like to remind residents of the regulations regarding the Spring Clean-Up collection:

NEW IN 2025:

OUR GARBAGE & RECYCLING CONTRACTOR WILL ONLY ACCEPT REFUSE CONTAINED WITHIN AN 8ft x 3ft x 3ft AREA.  ANYTHING LARGER THAN THAT WILL BE REFUSED PICK-UP.

The following items ARE ELIGIBLE for ONLY SPRING CLEAN-UP DAYS, but they must be contained with the 8ft x 3ft x 3ft area:  [please do not put these items out to the curb until the weekend of Spring Clean-Up Collection.]

~ Couches

~ Mattresses

~ Chairs

~ Dressers

~ Tables

The following items are NOT ELIGIBLE for Spring Clean-Up collection:

* Construction Materials (doors, toilets/sinks, drywall, lumber/millwork, plaster & lath, carpeting, cement, etc.)

* Appliances (refrigerators/freezers, microwaves, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc.)

* Electronics (TVs, computers/laptops, printers, keyboards, iPads, cell phones, etc.)

* Non-Latex Paints / Stains (Latex paint IS eligible, but it must be dried out and the lid left off the can)

* Tires, Car Batteries

* Waste Oil

* Lead-Acid Batteries

* Yard Waste 

** IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE ITEMS AT THE CURB, THEY WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.                                              YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT FAHERTY INC. DIRECTLY AT 608-348-9586 REGARDING DISPOSAL! **

Spring Clean-Up Collection will take place:

Monday, April 28th (residents NORTH of the bridge)

Tuesday, April 29th (residents SOUTH of the bridge)

Mientras las familias se preparan para la Venta Comunitaria Anual de Garaje 2025 y los días de Limpieza de Primavera, la Ciudad de Darlington desea recordar a los residentes las regulaciones respecto a la recolección de la Limpieza de Primavera:

NUESTRO CONTRATISTA DE BASURA Y RECICLAJE SÓLO ACEPTARÁ LOS RESIDUOS QUE ESTÉN DENTRO DE UN ÁREA DE 8 pies x 3 pies x 3 pies. CUALQUIER COSA MÁS GRANDE SERÁ RECHAZADA EN LA RECOLECCIÓN.

Los siguientes artículos SON ELEGIBLES SOLO PARA LOS DÍAS DE LIMPIEZA DE PRIMAVERA, pero deben estar contenidos dentro del área de 8 pies x 3 pies x 3 pies: [por favor, no coloque estos artículos en la acera hasta el fin de semana de la Recolección de Limpieza de Primavera.]

~ Sillas

~ Cómodas

~ Mesas

Los siguientes artículos NO SON ELEGIBLES para la recolección de Limpieza de Primavera:

  • Materiales de construcción (puertas, inodoros/lavamanos, paneles de yeso, madera/laboratorio, yeso y listones, alfombra, cemento, etc.)

  • Electrodomésticos (refrigeradores/congeladores, microondas, aires acondicionados, deshumidificadores, etc.)

  • Electrónica (televisores, computadoras/portátiles, impresoras, teclados, iPads, teléfonos celulares, etc.)

  • Pinturas/Manchas no a base de látex (La pintura a base de látex SÍ es elegible, pero debe estar completamente seca y con la tapa fuera del envase)

  • Neumáticos, baterías de automóviles

  • Aceite usado

  • Baterías de plomo-ácido

  • Residuos de jardín

** SI TIENE ALGUNO DE ESTOS ARTÍCULOS EN LA ACERA, NO SERÁN RECOGIDOS. DEBERÁ CONTACTAR A FAHERTY INC. DIRECTAMENTE AL 608-348-9586 PARA DISPOSICIÓN. **

La recolección de Limpieza de Primavera se llevará a cabo:

Lunes 28 de abril (residentes AL NORTE del puente)

Martes 29 de abril (residentes AL SUR del puente)
